Accountability.... :(

My name is Vicki and I am ashamed of myself.

I jumped on the scales today and cried.

I am now sitting at 109.2 kg :(

I was 90.5kg when I fell pregnant...

I was 92kg when I was 42 weeks pregnant..

I came home from hospital weighing 84.6kg...

That means in 26 months I have gained 24.6kg :(

I started back using a free 14 day trial of Weight Watchers today.

I hope I can workout what I usually eat etc and get a rough idea of points etc so I can continue on without it afterwards.

I need to be 90kg in April so that the OB/GYN will help me fall pregnant..

So thats 19.2 kg I have to lose in about 16 wks... it is achievahble.
Its only just over 1.2kg/wk.

I need to start eating properly.. In the sense.. I need to eat.

I rarely eat - I have no interest in food... but when I do eat - I eat a lot in one go - usually late at night....

My body is in 'starvation' mode and I need to eat btw 8-12 small portions of food a day as I have insulin resistance... I also need to start taking my Metformin properly.

So here we go :)

    Sorry if this is a long comment . . . .
    I have a 10yr old and I was just 40kgs when i fell pregnant with her, 73kgs when i gave birth and am now sitting at 84kgs.
    I have been married for nearly 2 years and we have just started to try for a baby.
    I too have been having so much trouble on trying to loose weight,
    firstly for the wedding {FAIL!}
    then now my doctor tells me I'm Obese . . . . no tack wat so ever!!!
    Also Doesn't help in any way, shape or form with ways i can loose weight!
    GREAT!
    BUT, the only thing she said was - you wont be able to fall pregnant if you don't loose weight!! nice eh!?
    My mum just laughed, because even tho she has always been critical of my weight, she thinks the doctor is full of it!

    But, the one thing that has helped has been to use the Aldi Brand Slim Shakes,
    In the last week I have lost a kilo without going crazy with exercise and just eating better. You don't have to starve yourself just change eating habits like nothing after 10pm and cut down on breads etc.
    I hope you have some success,
    my goal is 60kg by March, 2011!

  2. I also sympathise. I was 70kg when i fell pregnant with my girl. after having her I was 85, but now I am 104. I have just been diagnosed with gallstones and have had to cut fats out of my diet. I have taken a plunge and become a vegan, and have the goal of being back down to 70kg by the end of the year. good luck girls :) hopefully we will be slimmer and healthier together by the end of the year.
