Well I certainly have been super slack!
Well we’ve been back to our Paed today…
Today we got some sort of good info…. Officially with his Griffith’s (the test they use to check motor skills) testing he’s done - none of its says his mental age is 24 months or more - which is what is needed to start the official testing with his autism…
The test he is going to do is the ADI-R interview one His speech is at the equiv of a 15-18 month old (he will be 30 months/aka 2 1/2 at the end of the month) I knew it was bad.. but seeing it in writing really hit home.
So yeah - booked back in for 14/02/11 for the next Griffiths test and go from there In the mean time he has told us that he is officially ‘developmentally delayed’ and he has ‘sensory processing disorder’ and that alone he said will help us get EI for him. He said that they may alone be his problems, but can also possibly be ticks in the autistic box too.
Sigh.. I am exhausted today.. its been a long day!
I also got a wake up at the OB/GYNO today… Pretty much was told.. lose 15 kg in nxt 6 months or theres no chance in TTC at all :( (I have PCOS and Insulin Resistance.. On Metformin and was told 12 mnth ago if I hadnt falled UTD by now that they would give me Clomid as the next step….
I’m still peeved off atm about it all) Not for the want of trying I tell you…..
Dr said I need to have 8-10 small portion of food a day to get my body out of stavation mode atm with my insulin levels and i was like i struggle to eat 2 meals a day let alone all that food and she said if im not hungry i need to exercise until I am… grrrrr I went in for all that and ended up having to have a follow up colposcopy & pap smear (I had CIN III scare 18 mnths ago) - thankfully there wasnt anything that showed up when they were doing it this time so no biopsies :D
